Cities are not finished objects. They are lived in, extended, repaired and remade by the people who move through them. Here, the cyclist brings the street into focus, a single human moment set between the scale of the home and the permanence of the mountains. Taken from a moving car while travelling between craft towns near Oaxaca, this image catches an ordinary journey through a place built gradually, piece by piece. Exposed brick, concrete roofs and steel left ready for another floor show a town that is still evolving. It is not shaped by one complete vision, but by countless small decisions made over time, as people adapt buildings to changing needs.
